At that time she also began teaching Hip Hop and Jazz in Cincinnati, including at Contemporary Dance Theater. She then moved to New York City, where she did work-study and took classes at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center for the next five years. After dancing in New York, Jackson moved back to Cincinnati to raise her newborn and to continue teaching dance.
