Koresh Dance Company has been hailed as an extraordinary and vital
force in the national dance scene. Founded in 1991 by Israeli born
choreographer Ronen Koresh, the troupe presents its audiences with an
exciting and emotional blend of ballet, modern and jazz, molded into a

| Immigrating to the United States in 1983 at age 21, Koresh trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. In 1984 he came to settle in Philadelphia where he performed with Shimon Braun's acclaimed Waves Jazz Dance Company and won a People's Choice Award in 1987 as Philadelphia's Most Outstanding Jazz Dancer. Since 1991, Koresh and guest choreographers have built a repertory of over 50 original dance pieces that break through boundaries of traditional choreography.
