Performance Description:

Welcome to America: There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This Crap, featuring dancers Michelle Bump Morano, Lisa Schechtman, Glenda Figueiredo, Huiqing You and Rufan Li, MS, MBA; Poet & Spoken Word Artist Regina Ford-Fowler; actors Robin Alicia-Clare Hoskins (who will be singing as well) and Jahadia P. Fowler; and singers Pamela Carter Pitts and Semion Androne.

Welcome to America: There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This Crap reflects on the idea how debt is the new form of slavery. It will show our fading civil rights, our lack of privacy and people’s false sense of safety and security in the dominating Land of the Afraid. This piece will emphasize how strengthening our communities is extremely crucial, because in the end, we cannot rely on the US Government to save us! Our power to help one another is far greater.
