Performance Description: This is the true story of an invisible girl. This story is for every girl who has ever been invisible.
BIO: MANDIE REIBER graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in Illustration from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2016, after producing her first multidisciplinary performance, T[HERE], as her thesis. T[HERE] continued to evolve post-graduation, earning her the esteemed Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Scholarship from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, a presentation at the 2016 S.O.S. Art Festival, and a trip to Rochester, New York to perform during the 2016 Rochester Fringe Festival. Mandie then presented “The Devil Made Me Do It” at the Contemporary Dance Theater in November 2016 as part of the Performance and Time Arts series. Her next big project, “Anonymous,” performed at the 2017 Cincy Fringe Festival to brilliant reviews. All of Mandie’s performance projects are based on true stories collected from Cincinnati citizens, and focus on relevant cultural topics ranging from homelessness and poverty to mental illness and suicide. She is a dancer and choreographer with Pones Inc., and the director of devised theater company InBocca Performance. She spends her time designing, administrating, creative writing, and planning her wedding.
