PTA Artists: Allyson West & Bekka Eaton Reardon
Allyson West is a native Texan who found her way to Cincinnati by way of CCM at the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with her BFA in Acting. After spending two years in New York City and studying with Barbara Marchant at the William Esper Studio in midtown, Allyson fell in love and moved back to Ohio with her new husband. She has recently founded TURN WEST PRODUCTIONS, and is working on building exciting and riveting new ways of storytelling in Cincinnati with her best pals. Bekka Eaton Reardon is a professional actor (AEA, SAG/AFTRA since 1983), who teaches and directs Theatre at Miami University Hamilton where her emphasis is on new and actor-generated texts. She received her BS in Theatre from Northwestern University in Evanston IL, and her MFA in Acting from Indiana University in Bloomington IN. Her acting history includes stage, television, and film credits. She received a Best Actress nomination from The League of Cincinnati Theatres for her appearance in Mad Anthony Theatre Company’s production of Light Sensitive by Jim Geoghan. She began her professional career as a resident company member of Chicago’s famed The Second City. She then enjoyed a long stage career as a performance artist, artistic director, and songwriter. She has logged over 2,000 hours in recording studios as both a singer and producer.
