PTA Artists: F. Keith Wahle, Ava Montague, Elenya Stephani
F. Keith Wahle holds an MFA degree in Poetry Writing from the University of Iowa’s Writers’ Workshop. His poems have appeared in numerous magazines and journals. For several years, he has been experimenting with writing single-line five-word poems. He has compiled and edited about 700 of these short poems, and has another 200-300 in rough draft. Some of his five-word poems have appeared in Forklift: Ohio, and on-line in Other Rooms.
Ava Montague is new to both Cincinnati and Contemporary Dance Theater this year. Formerly a dance major at Interlochen Arts Academy, Ava has taken this year to explore further outside of her classical training and branch into new styles of dance such as movement improvisation, which she takes at the Contemporary Dance Theater. Having trained with companies such as Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Joffrey Ballet among others, Ava aspires to pursue dancing as a professional career.
Elenya Stephani is a student at The School for Creative and Performing Arts, majoring in Creative Writing. Elenya has previously performed for p.t.a. in February 2015 and February 2016, reciting her written work. As a dancer, she performed in SCPA’s The Nutcracker, The Hobbit, and James and the Giant Peach, among others.
